It’s that time of the year again where the Gaelic Football season takes off and the club is looking forward to seeing all our players back out on our pitches and in our new dressing rooms on the Donaghmoyne Road. Texts and/or notes will be issued from coaches prior to each age group starting back.

In order to get the formalities out of the way we encourage parents to attend a registration night, this Friday the 5th February in the Emmet Centre on the Ballybay Road where registration of all players aged U6 – U16 for the 2016 season will take place.

Membership is €20 per child, €30 per Adult and €70 per Family (2 Adults and any number of children up to and including Minor). All boys of school going age are welcome to join.

This year the club would appreciate if at least one parent of each juvenile player became a member of the club. Increased membership numbers improve our chances of securing funding when applying for grants and also the membership fees are an important source of funding to meet the running costs of the club as we continue to improve our facilities.

Looking forward to seeing you there on Friday and many thanks for your continued support.

Carrickmacross Emmets Juvenile Committee will be holding a meeting in Emmet Centre at 8pm on Monday 23rd November to discuss coaching arrangements for the 2016 season. If you are interested in getting involved with one of the age groups from u6 through to u16 please come along on the night. All existing coaches should also attend as we hope to put the coaching teams in place on the night. If you have any questions or would like more info please feel free to contact Andrew O'Sullivan, Youth Officer on 0877977236.

Farney Players 'Who Goes Bare?'
Farney Players are back this November with their brand new play 'Who Goes Bare?'.
The play focuses on two Irish brothers Brian (Raymond O'Hara) & Eddie (Ollie Martin) who have emigrated to England to seek their fortune. Brian ends up marrying well to the society snob Joan (Trica Mc Keown)while Eddie ends up a philandering gambler running a rundown low end health club.
